Monitor with 120hz and VRR I have a 144hz, freesync 1080p monitor but cant get it working properly with my Xbox One X. The 120Hz route: On another desk here in my office, I have a 27-inch 120Hz-capable Full HD monitor. Try 1280×800 on a DLP projector. The monitor will now show what the image will look like when it gets printed. :( why doesnt it have 144 hz as an option. The only 144hz monitor that was proven to support 120hz over HDMI was some Korean made monitor, and the service manual even listed 120hz over HDMI as supported natively, and I don't remember which one it was (You can go search on blurbusters for an old thread on it if you want the proof). It seems like the macbook pro screen use blur to cover the "low fps" My external monitor dosnt use it. But now all sudden, I can only set it to maximum of 100hz ! I even checked it in games on the Settings my Refresh Rate I can only set it up to 100hz that's it ! I've tried every possible solutions. When I go into both Windows & Nvidia control panel, I'm able to only select 120 HZ as my max refresh rate. Both models support FreeSync, with a variable refresh rate range of 40 - 144Hz (S24) or 40 - 155Hz (S27) - implying LFC is also supported. worth checking,Ron. With my Asus VG278HE at 120Hz and Lightboost (the Lightboost registry hack doesn't currently support 144Hz) playing at 1080p I am pretty much brutalizing my competition. 144 Hz setting has a flickering vertical bar a few pixels wide on the left side, a vertical bar in the center of the screen and overall blurred image. A 60 Hz monitor offers good performance only for viewing videos & movies it is the most economical of all the options. There is a workaround to (mostly) resolve this issue though.
